“Killers of the Flower Moon” is a 2023 American epic revisionist Western crime drama film directed and produced by Martin Scorsese. Scorsese co-wrote the screenplay with Eric Roth, based on the 2017 book of the same name by David Grann. The story is centered around a series of murders in the Osage Nation, Oklahoma, during the 1920s, which took place after the discovery of oil on tribal land. The film features a star-studded ensemble cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Lily Gladstone, with additional notable performances by Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, John Lithgow, and Brendan Fraser. This movie marks the sixth collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio, the tenth between Scorsese and De Niro, and the final collaboration between Scorsese and his musical partner, Robbie Robertson, who passed away two months before the film’s release; the film is dedicated to Robertson.
