The debut trailer for “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” has surfaced.
This movie serves as the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster hit, with Jason Momoa resuming his role as Arthur Curry, the King of Atlantis.
In the trailer, Black Manta, portrayed by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, solemnly pledges to avenge his father’s demise, declaring, “I’m determined to vanquish Aquaman and obliterate everything he treasures.”
Nicole Kidman takes on the role of Arthur’s mother, Queen Atlanna, while Amber Heard reprises her character as Mera, the princess of Xebel.
According to the official movie synopsis, “Black Manta is now more menacing than ever, wielding the power of the legendary Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To thwart him, Aquaman will seek the aid of his incarcerated brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, forming an improbable alliance. Together, they must put aside their differences to safeguard their kingdom, rescue Aquaman’s family, and protect the world from irreversible devastation.”
The initial “Aquaman” raked in over $1 billion at the box office. The film is brought to you by DC Studios, a unit of Warner Bros. Discovery, much like CNN.
